Today on Experiential Anatomy, we’re sharing a special Q+A bonus episode—one we’ve been looking forward to recording for a while. Over the past few months, many of you have sent in thoughtful, tender, and beautifully curious questions about the themes we explore on the podcast. So before we officially launch Season Two, we wanted to take a moment to respond and connect with you more directly.
In true Jamie & Joan fashion—we intentionally only made it through three questions in this conversation knowing in this unedited format our conversations tend to be long-winded and thorough. But, as you’ll hear, those three questions opened up a rich, free-flowing dialogue about medicine, embodiment, healing, and what it actually looks like to be in relationship with the body, especially when it feels complicated or hard.
This Q+A is a little less structured, a little more behind-the-scenes, and gives you a real sense of how we talk to each other when the mics are technically on, but we’re really just in conversation as friends and collaborators. It's a window into the casual, candid way we work through ideas, tensions, and reflections together.
And maybe the most exciting part? Season Two is coming soon!
This episode is our bridge between seasons—a way to keep the conversation going and to thank you for listening, supporting, and being part of this community as we get ready to return with fresh episodes, new questions, and more expansive conversations. Stay tuned for more!

While we’ve been between seasons, we’ve continued sharing bonus content like this exclusively on Substack—unedited, evolving, and deeply personal conversations that don’t always make it into the main season, but feel essential to the bigger story we’re telling.
We chose Substack as the home for Experiential Anatomy because it allows us to share these kinds of off-the-cuff, in-process conversations with you—not just polished, packaged episodes. It gives us the space to let the conversation meander, to invite you into the fullness of what this project really is.
